Success stories
The museum was established in 2016 and it is dedicated to the German linguist, Gerhard Rohlfs, known for his influential work on Greek, proving that the Grecanico origins from Magna Graecia. The museum displays a collection of artefacts related to Grecanico. Its first floor is occupied by Franco Mosino Library of ca. 4500 volumes. Franco Mosino was a philosopher, writer, and a connoisseur of the Calabrian Greek language. Behind the building, there is a shady “literary park” – The Garden of Words. The installation by Roberto Lucifero forms a semicircle facing Etna and includes citations from the most significant literary works written in Bova since the twelfth century.
